Learning Objective: Explore how to create a training environment where true embodiment can happen.
Description: What are the criteria that need to be met, processes put in place for students to be able to participate in the process of their own unfolding? What is the balance of learning/ following and self-creation? In this workshop we will demonstrate how to create an environment of discourse and community learning that models the way the body as an organism re-creates itself daily.
What is different about somatic learning versus learning facts about the body?
How can we set the timing of the class to allow for varying ways of integrating, transforming, resting, repatterning? What is the balance between kinesthetic movement, touch sensing and book learning?
This process necessitated the unpacking of assumptions around teaching, relating, leadership, communication - all the while balancing mentorship with exchange and co-explorations. We would like to share these dynamic engaged conversations with you and use some short excerpts of teaching styles to demonstrate our conversations. Christine will be joined by some of her trainees; Anna Titova, Artem Markov, Nitzan Lederman.
